Salaried convention by default — strict for factories

Toggle in Settings → Workspace. Relaxed (default): a working day with no record and no leave counts as PRESENT — the Indian salaried-employee norm. Strict: every day must be explicitly marked, missing = LOP.

  • Per-workspace toggle, takes effect on next payroll run
  • Approved leave is never LOP (uses balance)
  • ABSENT marks always override the default
  • PF / TDS / ESI deductions still scale to paid-days
